Woong-Ryeol Yu is Professor of Materials Science and Engineering at Seoul National University. His
research centers on nanomaterials and composites, three-dimensional textiles and composites, and
smart materials and constitutive modeling. Prior to joining Seoul National University, he was a research
fellow at The University of Nottingham (UK) and a research associate at Michigan State University
(USA). Right after his PhD study, Yu worked as a research scientist at Korea Institute of Industrial Tech
nology. He has served as Editor-in-Chief of the Functional Composites and Structures (2019-).
