Advanced Fiber Science

Electrochemical wet-spinning process

  • The electrochemical wet-spinning process was newly designed.
  • Molecular changes and water uptake occurred during the electrochemical wet-spinning process, particularly within the spinneret and coagulation bath.

  • The void length in the fiber was reduced due to electrochemical wet-spinning.
  • PAN fibers with excellent mechanical properties were fabricated by electrochemical wet-spinning.

Electrospinning

  • Electrospinning is a fiber production method using electric force for nanofiber formation.
  • High electrical conductivity and stretchability can be secured through changes in fiber structure.
