Gate-effect measurement of sc-SWNT fiber

  • Drain current of m-SWNT fibers remained constant though gate voltage changed.
  • sc-SWNT fibers exhibited reduced drain current as the gate voltage increased.

Electrochemical biosensor platform

  • To demonstrate the application potential of fiber assemblies, glucose oxidase was attached to the fibers.

Fig. Electronic responses

  • The working mechanism is the potential change from the glucose reaction.
  • The hydrogen ions generated from the reaction create the positive potential near the surface of the fiber.

Fig. Semiconducting carbon nanotube platform

  • Current of sc-SWNT fiber sensor changed, whereas that of m-SWNT fiber did not.
  • Current change occurred at low concentrations approaching 0.5 mM.
